Square Roots has extended its relationship with Kurve Technologies to maximise customer satisfaction and lower costs and emissions for 236 homes at this development in the north of the capital.
In the heart of Barnet, Square Roots Hendon, which completed in December 2024, is part of a heat network that is supplied by 12, 42 kilowatt air source heat pumps. These are estimated to be three times more efficient than the same heat network running on gas boilers.
In addition, customers have been provided with the KURVE pay-as-you-go (KURVE PAYG) web-app. This allows them to conveniently manage their energy account and monitor household usage in real time from any location. KURVE PAYG has been shown to help customers reduce energy bills by around 24% compared to those on traditional credit billing.
Barbara Richardson, Managing Director at Square Roots commented: “It’s essential we get the best value for money for our customers when procuring services on their behalf. KURVE’s high-tech, sustainable, user-friendliness hits exactly the right spot by helping them manage costs without compromising on service.”
“The London Living Plan prioritises heat pumps and heat networks, particularly in new developments, to achieve net-zero carbon emissions,” added Jarrad Bedford, Head of Sales: Operations & Maintenance, at Insite Energy. “Square Roots Hendon is a great example of transitioning towards this. It’s a future-proofed development that will see costs and emissions drop further as the proportion of the UK’s electricity supply that comes from renewable sources increases over time. And residents will be able to watch this happen on their phones, or other internet-connected device, in real time via the KURVE web-app. We look forward to continuing to work with Square Roots and London Square to offer these kinds of benefits at lots of other innovative new developments across the capital.”
