Daniela discovered Square Roots Hendon and purchased a 25% share of a spacious one-bedroom apartment for £90,000. This allowed her to stay in London, with a monthly mortgage payment of £440 and rent of £650 on the remaining share. "Being able to buy in Zone 3 makes me immensely happy," she shares. "It’s an incredible feeling, finally having a home of my own in London, and the quality is outstanding." Having moved to London from Italy a decade ago, gaining British citizenship last year, Daniela was ready to transition from shared rentals to her own place.
Daniela reserved her apartment in August 2024, after researching Shared Ownership online. Despite the initial nerves of not seeing the finished product, her stress vanished upon viewing her nearly completed home.

Daniela, Homeowner at Square Roots Hendon"The quality was just excellent," she recalls. "I took my very picky friend to see it with me and he was impressed too!"
Her apartment features an open-plan kitchen and living space, a lovely bathroom, and a bedroom with potential for a walk-in wardrobe. Daniela praises the natural light and design, calling it a "real treat for London." She also enjoys the communal rooftop, with its playground, seating, and views stretching to Wembley Stadium.
Location was vital for Daniela, who wanted to stay in West London with access to green spaces. Square Roots Hendon, near a large park, Hampstead, and the Welsh Harp, fit the bill perfectly. Brent Cross Mall is also just a 10-minute bus ride away.
Daniela was particularly complimentary about the Square Roots team. "They were so helpful, providing me with plenty of updates," she says. Despite English not being her first language, the team and her lawyer clearly explained the legal paperwork, making the process smooth and well-organized. "I would definitely recommend Square Roots to other property buyers."
