Bedroom essentials
Your bedroom is one of the most important spaces in your house, but not just because it’s the room where you sleep! Your bedroom is a safe haven from the rest of the world, and everything you buy should reflect this. Of course, you will need a mattress and a comfortable duvet, but don’t forget to add storage baskets, a cozy chair, clothing hangers, and even a bedside lamp!

Bathroom equipment
Unless you live in a hotel, your home won’t come stocked with the equipment you need to live day-to-day life. You will need a bathmat, toilet roll, and storage baskets are always handy to stow away your toiletries.

Kitchen utensils
You might be tempted to buy takeaways every night, but that isn’t a very cost-effective way of living. Instead, channel your inner Gordon Ramsay and invest in every kitchen utensil you might need. You’ll need pots and pans of all sizes, food bowls and plates, cutlery, oven mitts, a sieve, napkins, a cutting board, and anything else that you can see yourself using more than once.

Home toolkit
If you are someone who loves doing a bit of home DIY, you’ll need to keep a kit of handy repair tools. This includes a hammer, nails, a screwdriver a measuring tape and picture hooks for making for house a home. You might not be Bob the Builder, but a home toolkit will ensure you can step in for minor home fixes whenever they are needed.

Cleaning equipment
A hoover and dustpan and brush should be your priority, as well as a bin to throw rubbish away and wipes to clean your kitchen sides. Get plenty of bin bags so you don’t have to keep replacing them and don’t forget to load up on sponges.

First aid kit
You might think you’re the most careful person in the world, but accidents happen to everybody. Keep a first-aid kit somewhere where you can easily access it, and you can be within reach of a handy bandage in a worst-case scenario. You can never be too careful!

Home decor
Once you’ve got your essentials out of the way, time to put a personal touch on your home. How you do this is entirely up to you - you could go for mood lighting, decorative planters, or fancy wall art. Don’t forget to buy plenty of picture frames so you can put some of your best photo memories on display!
